Selenly Turkish Mosaic Desk Lamp for Table & Bedside - Flame

I have a number of Turkish lamps, including a 15-globe Turkish chandalier. This Selenly Turkish lamp is very much like the other Turkish lamps I own, other than the metal base being of a somewhat thinner metal that the others I have. It comes in three pieces and fits together with spring clips attached to the base and the finial. The globe is as pictured, made of glass fragments and glass beads, and the color is accurate as well. I'm surprised by some of the other reviews, but I write them off as coming from people that aren't familiar with Turkish lamps. I took off a star for the thinner metal and because the price is on the high side for a lamp of this sort.

I love this lamp! The warm glow is so pretty and the beautiful contruction of the product is amazing. You can tell that great care was taken to assemble. The glass mosaic design is so nice in almost any room. The globe is very thick and will hold up if knocked around at all. The spring wire attachment pieces are VERY strong and I had a bit of difficulty bending them (squeezing them together) to get them inside the narrow globe opening. I was afraid I may chip the glass. Patience and perseverance worked! It will not flop around and fits very tightly. I am extremely pleased with the quality.

This beautiful lamp adds an exotic, worldly and cozy ambiance to your room. This lamp comes with a small card that explains how it is hand beaded by women who are wives and mothers, who are working to earn money to care for themselves and their families. This means each lamp is created with care and pride and is a small thing that empowers everyday people like you and me. It doesn't come with a bulb or instructions but is easily set up by I'll installing a small, nightlight sized lightbulb, then squeezing the two metal prongs together and placing the glass cover over them so that the metal prongs are inside of the glass cover. Then, repeating this process with the metal prongs on the top cover and placing them on the inside of the top portion of the glass cover. Then just plug it in and enjoy!

This lamp is the perfect little lamp you can put a nightlight bulb into and leave on overnight to guide you to restroom or to find that late night snack. Looks amazing and is very well made. Other reviewers have downgraded the rating because they didn’t read the part where it says “bulb not included”. I will say this, don’t use a super low wattage LED, I had 2 extra bulbs from two strings of lights (with E-12 bases) and they blew out in less than a second! I was concerned that their wattage was TOO low so I grabbed a chandelier bulb 40w incandescent and put it in there and it was fine. Perfect output of light and didn’t get hot. The finish is nice and the handmade glass housing is quite nice! The card inside said it was made entirely by women and I think it’s wonderful.

Got the lamp today and it looks amazing, not cheap at all, very pretty and nice sized lamp! Very pleased!
