i have to admit i wasn't sure about this today when i received it. its not your big box home department super thick and thirsty kinda towel. but i gave it a try and am quite impressed. here's a surprise benefit.. it doesn't take up much space in your linen closet... huge bonus for small space dwellers! soft fabric and lovely design.highly recommend

This is my first experience with a Turkish style towel.  I have used regular terry towels and some microfiber type sport towels.  I haven’t used this at the beach or pool, only in the bathroom after showers. This towel seems very soft to me and is visually appealing.  It has a slight texture from the weave and while I don’t particularly care for the idea of tassels, they are so light and soft that I don’t notice them in use. The towel is much larger than my bath sheet size bath towels, which makes wrapping up after a shower easy.  Because the fabric is very thin it gets saturated with water fairly quickly.  When grabbing a section of towel in my hand to wipe from my shoulder down my arm the towel shows a dark wet spot and I need to pick a different section before moving on to another area.  After drying off the towel shows several spots where it has saturated but I am dry.  Rather than using this towel regularly as a bath towel I think I will reserve it as a wrap for sitting in the sauna as the large size will provide good coverage and the lightweight will be more comfortable than a thick towel in the heat.

I bought the towel in blue.  The color is  rich-looking and the towel is absolutely beautiful.  I've only laundered it once and while it came out looking like new, I feel that used on a regular basis, the fringe may not hold up well over time.This is a perfect towel for guests, either poolside or for indoor use.  It would also make a lovely gift!

This Turkish towel could be used as a travel towel that would take up less room and weigh less than a traditional towel but work just as well.  This large towel feels soft against the skin and dries quick.  Despite the fact that it is air dried this towel is soft and can be fluffed in the dryer for a few minutes which I did to release a few wrinkles and to see if the dryer would make a difference in its softness and the dryer doesn’t add or take away from the softness of this towel so no need to put it in the dryer unless you want to release the few wrinkles it might get during washing or like I did leave it in the wet washing machine a bit too long.  It is quite long, so being on the tall side this would still be good for you and would work very well as a shawl or a light blanket.  No matter how you decide to use your Turkish Towel I’m sure you’ll find it soft and comfortable.
