Selenly Turkish Towel | 100% Cotton - Turquoise

I've been curious about these Turkish towels for a while, so when I saw this one on Vine I decided to grab it. I've never used one before so I can't say how it compares to other brands. But it seems to be pretty good quality. The color (I ordered the yellow) was as expected, there are no loose threads, and after several uses and trips through the washing machine it is just as soft as it was when I got it. It's also a nice size for a bath or beach towel.I've been a regular user of the Japanese waffle knit style towels for the last few years. The cheapest versions of those towels cost many times what this Turkish towel did. And to be clear, there's no real comparison. Both are lightweight, dry quickly, and fold up small. But the Japanese towels get you much dryer. This Turkish towel feels more like it's moving the water around your body, even after several washes. Because of that, I am not using this as an everyday bath towel.That's not a big knock on this towel, though, since we're comparing apples and oranges. What I really like about this towel is how easily it packs up and how soft it is. It's much smaller than my big beach towels, and I think it's probably going to replace one of those next summer. If it works out, I may retire all the bulky old beach towels for these. When I'm at the beach, I don't want my fancy Japanese towel, I want something lightweight, quick drying, and soft, and this will do nicely for that purpose.

I hate to sound too much like a fanatic, I've been seeing these types of towels and hearing the claims and it turns out, it's actually all true!In comparison to a similarly sized normal beach towel, this weighs considerably less weight and is far less bulky.I have a foot of hair and this towel dries me off better than the regular towel. I can also easily see the wet spots on this towel so I can pick dry spots. My normal towel it's difficult to see the dry spots.And since this towel is so thin, it dries much faster. However, since these are so thin, I would assume these would get threadbare faster than a regular towel?  I can't say for sure since I've only had them for a few weeks.The tassels aren't my favorite, I've bashed myself in the face a few times. If you're going to have a towel fight, I'd choose this one over a regular towel due to the reach and whip like tassels.This towel did pick up some strange colors in the wash (none of my other clothes seem discolored) but that's happened with my regular towels before. After another wash, the strange colors did get lighter. I don't divide my lights and darks, it was probably my jeans.I don't know why we even make regular towels anymore,, these towels aren't even that much more expensive than regular towels. I'm tempted to switch all my towels to these.These do not have the 'luxurious fluffy' feeling of regular towels but the absorbency and lightness more than makes up for it in my opinion.

Super absorbent and cute towel! Turkish towels are something else, I really dont know how they can be that soft and retain that much water with such a thin fabric, but they do the job. The color is very vibrant, true to pictures, and the tassels are a very cute detail. They work great for the beach (we have many down here in South Florida, but can even be used as a blanket if anything. Super light, would definitely recommend

This is a big towel that will wrap around and dry of a big person. It's lightweight. But if you are looking for a plush towel, this is not the towel for you.  It is not soft or thick. But it's functional, and it's nice and big.

I've been decorating my bathroom and these towels just matched so well, but not only do they look great but they are so soft and absorb well! You can really feel the quality.
